Saliva guitarist Wayne Swinny is no longer among us

Wayne Swinny, one of the founding members of the hard rock band Saliva, passed away! The guitarist took his last breath on Wednesday afternoon, March 22, due to a spontaneous Brain Hemorrhage.

A condition occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures, leading to bleeding in the brain.

His death was confirmed by his band member on Facebook with a heartfelt statement that reads,

“It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our brother Wayne Swinny. Wayne passed away this afternoon from a spontaneous brain hemorrhage while we were out on tour. Details for the funeral arrangements will be announced shortly. Wayne will be missed by all those who knew him. We love you Wayne.”

“My heart is so heavy today with the passing of our brother, the legendary Wayne Swinny of Saliva. Genuinely one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever known. Long live the Spirit of rock-n-roll, because a big part of it no longer here on this earth. We love you Wayne. Rock in Power!!”

Swinny was one of the original members of Saliva which included other band members including Josey Scott Sappington, Todd Poole, Dave Novotny, and Chris D’Abaldo.

Saliva is a hard rock band formed in 1996.
