Whitney Cummings is going to be a mom

Congratulations to Whitney Cummings who is expecting her first child. The comedian announced that she is pregnant.

In her Instagram post on Tuesday, Cummings shared a snap of herself and her dog playing together in a pool. She captioned it,

“In these pix I am with child. And there’s a baby in me too,”
“Human pup coming December. All your dates in 2023 [are] still happening, I just may fall over a couple times.”

The snaps show Cummings in a tied-up purple tank top and gray shorts while standing in the pool which her pet. They show the comedian tossing a ball as her pooch tries to catch it.

During her interview with Today in February, the I’m Fine…And Other Lies author revealed that she wanted to have a baby within a year even though she felt like she had enough time.

She said at the time,

“I did freeze my eggs. They have a beautiful beachfront in Redondo, California. They’re on better real estate than me,”
“I do want to get them out before the sea level rises and they flood, but I was going to try this year to get pregnant.”

Who is Whitney’s baby daddy?

While she gladly announced the baby news, Whitney Cummings did not reveal who her baby daddy is. Her last relationship was with veterinarian Alex Barnes.

The couple started dating in July 2021. However, a month later, the Broke Girls revealed that their meeting was cute but happened at the wrong time.

Talking about how they first met, Cummings said in an interview with Live With Kelly and Ryan,

“Right at the beginning of the [COVID-19] pandemic, I was fostering a dog that attacked another one of my dogs, and the small dog’s eyes came out,”
“I had to rush to the veterinarian.”

Due to the peak COVID-19 lockdown, she had a difficult time getting inside the building due to the safety protocols. Braes, 33, was thankfully there to offer help to the wounded pet.

She recalled,

“I’m banging on the door of the veterinarian’s office, and they’re not letting me in,”
“He came out, and he recognized me and started to help me.”

The podcaster also joked that she was trying not to be distracted by his handsomeness.

After the pet’s recovery, the two gave their romance a try.

During her stand-up fall performance in 2021, Cummings joked that she and her beau were already thinking of taking their relationship to another level.

She told her audience at the time,

“Here’s something I want to announce to you guys I’ve never said before, like, no one knows,”
“I’m dating someone and I want to be the one to propose to him. Look, I’m 39. I don’t have time for him to plan a f–king scavenger hunt proposal. ‘So Alex, will you make me the happiest girl in the world and let me buy my own engagement ring since you can’t afford the one that I want?’”
