Early life and her family background
Richa Anirudh was born on 31st May 1975 in Rewa Medical College, MP. Her father Mr. Harish Badal is a doctor and my mother Rekha is a homemaker. After her birth, Richa‘s family stayed at a small P.H.C. in UP, Moodhapande for some time.
From 1976-1978, Richa and her family lived in a very small town. Which was Dhanaura in Moradabad district, U.P.
Her school days to master days
Anirudh’s education began in Dhanaura. For a very brief period of a few months, they were in Moradabad where she studied in Seventh Day Adventist School.
In 1981, her father Mr. Harish was transferred to Jhansi and she spent her childhood days there. Then after, she got admission to St. Francis Convent Jhansi. This school was and remains till now the most sought-after school in the city.
Richa was in SFC from where she got distinction on her 10th board. Then Richa joined Christ The King College for classes 11th and 12th. That was situated in Jhansi. She did graduation in Science from Bipin Behari Degree College Jhansi.
Simultaneously, she studied at APTECH computer institute to get a 3-year master’s diploma in computer software development.
Her time in Rajasthan and her marriage
In 1997 Richa got married. She has been married to her beloved husband Aniruddha Thatte since the late 1990s. After her marriage, she shifted to Ajmer. Then in 1998, she joined a state-level Hindi daily of Rajasthan “Dainik Navjyoti” as a trainee journalist.
Their little girl
Their daughter Ishita was born. In 2001 she returned to Delhi and joined Pt. Ravi Shankar as his Office Administrator. With DD sports, ETV Urdu. Selected in AIR FM as Radio Jockey she started anchoring.

Her journey as TV anchor started
Richa joined Zee News as a Reporter and started anchoring the news. In 2005 she joined Channel 7 as Special Correspondent and News Anchor. In 2007 Zindagi Live started.
Her Career
Richa is one of the leading faces of Hindi Television News. She has been involved in the news for the last six years. She carries out shows on social issues on the IBN7 Hindi news channel.
She hosts famous show Zindagi Live on IBN7. Richa has also worked with other Indian news channels Channel 7 and Headlines today.
In 2011, she appeared as an Expert Advisor in a few episodes of the fifth season of the popular television quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Awards
Across Indian news channels Among the 12 best anchors of the next generation in the year 2004, Richa Anirudh was selected. She was honored by Ekta Mission ‘Best Anchor’s Award’ in the year 2005.
For the ‘Most Promising Young Female Journalist’ In the year 2010, Richa was awarded the Amity Media Excellence Award.
