Wynonna Judd is still mourning the loss of her mother but is angry with her

It’s been a hard year for Wynonna Judd. She admitted that she is still very angry at her late mother Naomi for committing suicide.

Since her mother’s death Judd, in her first interview revealed that she is still very sad over her mom’s death. The late country music star killed herself at the age of 76 in April.

Wynonna, 58 explained to correspondent Lee Cowan:

“I got the call, and I went over, and I saw her and I said goodbye to her in the hospital,”

“I closed her eyes, and I kissed her forehead, and that was that. And next thing I know, I’m sitting here on the side porch, and I’m just trying to figure out what’s next.”

The Why Not Me singer continued:

“I did not know that she was at the place she was at when she ended it, because she had had episodes before and she got better. And that’s what I live in, is like, ‘Was there anything I should have looked for or should I have known?’ I didn’t.”

The correspondent also asked her if the anger would go away anytime soon to which she replied:

“No, I don’t think so, not for a while.”

Wynonna’s relationship with her sister Ashley got better after her mom’s death

The late country star was unresponsiveness on April 30. No matter how angry she feels, Wynonna still feels her mom’s presence.

The singer said:

“I feel her nudging me. And sometimes, I laugh. And sometimes, I say, ‘I really miss you. Why aren’t you here so we can argue?’”

She added:

“She told me one time, she took my hand and she said, ‘My life is better because of you.’ Those are the memories that are starting to come through, more and more. I think when you lose your mother, a lot of that crap goes away, ’cause it doesn’t matter anymore. It just doesn’t.”

Things are even harder for the country star who will soon go on a reunion tour for The Judds. The famous mother-daughter duo had a successful career with more than 20 million albums sold with 14 number 1 singles. They also won five Grammy Awards.

The country star also revealed that she and her sister Ashley Judd have reconciled following the death of their mom.

The Nashville medical examiner’s office stated that Naomi had an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and died shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

The toxicology report also proved that the late singer had various different drugs in her system at the time of her death. It included medications used to cure insomnia, depression, and seizures.
