As per TMZ, the member of the Carter family passed away at age 41.

Her mom, Jane Carter released a statement announcing the sudden death of her daughter on Saturday.

Referring to the death of her son Aaron in 2022 and Leslie in 2012, the grieving mother said,

“I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,”

“When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private.”

Jane added,

“[H]owever deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater.”

“So, I would ask the sympathetic to say a prayer for my precious 8-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”

While there are not many details about Bobbie’s death, TMZ noted that she died on Saturday in Florida.

A history of substance abuse and  tragic death in the Carter family

Like her siblings, Bobbie struggled with substance abuse and addiction throughout her life.

Before her death in July, Carter was arrested for retail theft and drug possession in  June after reportedly trying to steal $55 worth of crafts from a Brookfield, Fla., Hobby Lobby.

After catching her, office employees called cops but the House of Carters alum allegedly grabbed her purse and tossed a powder-blue container under the desk which later was confirmed to have grams of fentanyl inside.

This is the third big tragedy for the  Carter family who have been under the influence of substance abuse.

The first person to die was Bobbie’s younger sister, Leslie who lost her life of an overdose at the age of 25, in January 2012.

Another tragedy occurred in November 2022 when Bobbie’s younger brother, Aaron was found dead in his bathtub in his home in California.

The I Want Candy hitmaker died from drowning and the lethal effects of difluoroethane, a flammable gas, and alprazolam, a generic form of Xanax. He was only 34.
