Actor-singer, Aliff Aziz pronounces divorce to wife, actress Bella Astillah!

The love story of Malaysian actress, Bella Astillah and her husband, Aliff Aziz has ended. Aliff pronounced the divorce on 13 June 2024 at 1.11 pm before the Judge at the Federal Territories Syariah Court.

Singapore-born singer and actor, Aliff Aziz has separated from his wife, Malaysian actress, Bella Astillah for good. On 13 June 2024, Aliff pronounced the divorce as per Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law Enactment (Federal Territories). This happened at the Federal Territories Syariah Court in Malaysia. The Judge who recorded the separation of the two was Judge Syarie Wan Mohd Najib.

Bella whose real name is Dayang Ara Nabella Awang Astillah was told to observe three holy days and register the divorce. Aliff has agreed to give Bella full custody rights of their two kids.

Bella had wanted divorce from Aliff since a very long time due to his infidelity. Hence, she was happy when ultimately she could get it. Bella took to her social media to let her fans know that she has divorced her cheating husband. Bella wrote on her Instagram at 2 pm:

I’ve given so many chances, but in the end I couldn’t fight destiny. [I’ve] fought for this relationship enough, but this fight is in vain because I’m the only one fighting,”

Earlier this year, on 9 March, Aliff was caught red-handed with Malaysian actress Ruhainies in a condominium in KL. They were arrested by the Islamic Religious Department of the Federal Territory (Jawi). After the divorce, Bella taunted Ruhainies writing:

And for the last time, I would like to congratulate my former friend Ruhainies for successfully demolishing this mosque and my children for losing their father.”

Bella and Aliff had a wedding ceremony on 9 September 2016. They share two children together: Mohamad Ayden Adrean and Ara Adreanna.

However, due to Aliff cheating on his wife on multiple occasions, Bella filed for legal separation. This came after Aliff’s photos with a minor girl went viral on 9 May 2019. They were officially divorced on 16 May 2019.

However, they reunited same year during Eid. But things did not improve and he was caught with Ruhainies. He apologized but Bella was tired of it all. She again filed for divorce this year.

Bella wanted an express divorce due to lack of love, affection, and understanding in marriage. Divorce can be granted on these grounds as per Section 47 of the Enactment of the Islamic Family Law (Federal Territory) 1984.

Aliff could not appear in court on 13 March due to his busy work schedules. When he did appear on second mention on 4 April, he was reluctant to divorce Bella saying that he loved her still. He said:

This isn’t a decision I can make in just one day, I need time. I don’t agree [with the divorce]. I still love Bella,”

Judge Syarie Wan Mohd Najib directed the court to appoint a representative and conciliatory committee (JKP) for counseling. However, it failed to save the marriage. Bella revealed that Aliff cheated her 11 times. He also had illicit relationship with her younger sister, Eriqah.

Bella had not demanded any alimony or consolatory gift from Aliff after divorce. She is also not after any marital property.

Aliff’s sister has been inconsiderate enough to defend her brother’s crimes. She said that he did it because he was bullied in school!!!
