He is a former King of the Cage and Ring of Fire Lightweight champion and had participated in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Alberto Crane was born to his parents Jimmy Hoffa and Helen R.Godfrey in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States, on 14 July 1976.

In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu he earned a black belt under the training of Vinicius Magalhaes and Carlos Gracier Jr. Vinicius Magalhaes is a sixth-degree belt holder while Carlos Gracier Jr is an eighth-degree belt holder.

After relocating to New Mexico, he established his own academics in Santa Fe and Albuquerque and started to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2002, he joined MMA  until 2005 with continuous victory.

In 2007, Alberto Crane came back and joined UFC after a 2-year gap. Unfortunately, he was defeated during the UFC 74 through TKO in opposition to Roger Huerta in the 3rd round.

Again, he lost against Kurth Pellegrino in the next game with the UFC, through TKO in the 2nd round of the game.

He shifted to the L.A. Basin. after selling his Jiu-Jitsu Academy in 2007. Similarly, In 2009, he introduced Gracie Barra in Encino, California. He went on to establish Gracie  Barra Pasadena and Grace Barra Burbank in 20210 and 2011 respectively.

He is the founder of LEGACY Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Burbank, California where he is the trainer himself.
