Anthony Hopkins is a busy bee and has plans to survive until his age of 100 years and beyond. He has suffered due to his past addiction problems and depression. However, Anthony is now on the right track and determined to live longer.

The Welsh-born actor, Anthony Hopkins has battled neurosis and addiction in the past. He has come out of depression and drug abuse and is now enjoying life to the fullest. Anthony is busy and neck-deep into his work now despite his advanced age of 86 years. It is unbelievable that the star has four movies that are to release this year.

His appetite for life is preserved and he often posts videos of himself dancing mambo or cooking at his Los Angeles mansion. He lives there with his wife, Stella Arroyave who is 68 years of age now and is his third wife. An insider disclosed to the National Enquirer:

“He had this horrible experience but now he’s bounced back and has a huge appetite for life,”

Anthony emerged as a versatile and great actor when he portrayed the character of a psycho serial killer. In 2019, Anthony has spoken about his sobriety in his chat with American actor, Brad Pitt. Both did an interview for Interview magazine. Anthony queried Brad about his past encounter with alcohol addiction. Brad admitted:

“Well, I just saw it as a disservice to myself, as an escape,”

Anthony feels that that dark time of his life was a blessing and he does not actively advocate sobriety. He stated:

“But I look at it, and I think, ‘What a great blessing that was, because it was painful.’ I did some bad things. But it was all for a reason, in a way. And it’s strange to look back and think, ‘God, I did all those thing s?’ But it’s like there’s an inner voice that says, ‘It’s over. Done. M on,”

Brad said:

“So you’re embracing all your mistakes. You’re saying, ‘Let’s be foibles, our embarrassment.’ There’s beauty in that.”

And Anthony answered:

“It’s great.”

Anthony’s marriages

Anthony now resides at Malibu in California, the USA. He had three marriages. His first wife was actress Petronella Barker. They wed in 1966 but divorced in 1972. The next year in 1973, Anthony dated and exchanged wedding vows with Jennifer Lynton. But they called it quits in 2002. In early 2000s, Anthony met Stella Arroyave who was an antiques dealer born in Colombia. She helped him overcome his depression. They wed in 2003.

Anthony has a child, a daughter from his first wife. But he is estranged from her. The daughter’s name is Abigail Hopkins but he is not keen to revive or improve the relations with her.
