In 2007, she had a role in the Broadway production of Legally Blonde, where she played the character of Pilar. The show was filmed for television and in the following year, she began to understudy the roles of Shandi and Brooke Wyndham.

Additionally, she made two appearances on the reality competition show Legally Blonde: The Musical – The Search for Elle Woods. The show ended in 2008. After a role in Confessions of a Shopaholic, Ghebremichael played Raina Pearl in the web series Submissions Only.

Moreover, she portrayed Shawanda in the original Broadway production of Elf: The Musical and was part of the ensemble cast of The Book of Mormon in 2011 on Broadway. She played the role of Nabulungi in a show and is currently performing the same role in the West End production since February 2016.
