Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse surprised fans with an intimate wedding ceremony, just weeks after they announced their engagement.

The lovebirds said I DO this past Saturday, July 15, in the model’s home country of Hungary at her parents’ property.

However, the two are planning to celebrate with a larger wedding ceremony in California in the fall where we can expect a handful of A-listers.

The new bride told Vogue,

“[This past weekend] was supposed to be an intimate event,”
“But we ended up having 115 guests because there are a lot of people we care about and we wanted them all to be there.”

As for the wedding dress, Barbara wanted to wear something classic and timeless for the special day. Vivienne Westwood was just the perfect choice for the former Victoria’s Secret angel.

After much consideration, she settled on a custom strapless design from the famous British fashion house.

Talking about the jewelry, Palvin knew Tiffany & Co., was the perfect choice for her. The jeweler created a 90s-inspired diamond choker for the bride that looked very good with the dress.

Barbara wanted her second dress to be something that made her feel young and fun and something she could dance the night away in.

For that matter, the model chose a short style with a crisscross back by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini.

Palvin said,

“It was the best choice,”
“The dress made me feel like a modern princess.”

The model added,

“There is also a Hungarian tradition where you have to wear a red dress after midnight—it’s called menyecske ruha,”
“There was no question—I had to wear a Hungarian designer for this one, so I chose Mero. They created the dress of my dreams. It was sexy and sweet but also comfortable—exactly what I wanted.”

Palvin and Sprouse married at the church where her parents tied the knot

Barbara Palvin wanted all her dresses to be paired with Jimmy Choo shoes. The heels were designed to match the colors of her particular dresses and personalized with “D Heart B” on one sole and the wedding date on the other.

The couple chose the venue of their wedding to be the church in Albertirsa, where Barbara’s parents said I DO 34 years ago.

Barbara said,

“All the people we love and care for were there,”
“We all cried a little.”

Right after the wedding, there was a civil ceremony which the couple had on a small island within a reserve on the model’s family’s property.

Barbara Palvin recalled,

“The weather was perfect with a little cool breeze,”
“It was a beautiful moment that we will never forget.”

The model then joked,

“It’s gonna take some time for me to get used to being called Mrs. Sprouse,”
“Dylan’s been calling me his wife for three years now, so there’s not a lot of adjusting on his end. We’re excited to go back to LA to our pets and rest a bit—before we start planning the American wedding.”
