Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker‘s dream wedding was everything the actress wished for.

The High School Musical star and her basketball player boyfriend Tucker married in an intimate ceremony in Tulum, Mexico over the weekend.

Hudgens revealed that despite the overwhelming wedding planning process, her big day went off pretty well.

The actress, 34, told Vogue that she knew she wanted “to be surrounded by nature, greenery, and foliage,” which made her choose the museum which is located “45 minutes into the jungle.”

She said of seeing the venue for the first time, Hudgens said,

“I knew that it was our place,”
“I felt like I was transported to some kind of utopia, unlike anything I had ever been to before. It was whimsical and magical, and I just fell in love.”

Jay Shetty who introduced the couple back in 2020 officiated the ceremony.

Talking about her wedding look, the actress wore a white cowl-neck slip dress by designer Vera Wang. Hudgens admitted that the designer always makes her feel “so confident and sexy and feminine.”

She said,

“I put it on, and I was like ‘It’s perfect. It’s easy, it’s simple, and it’s chic,”
“It was exactly what I wanted, but we obviously had to spruce it up a little and add some extra love to it so that it was special, just for me.”

For her big day, the former Disney Star wore her hair back in a slick bun and wore a cape-like tulle veil with custom embroidery that read, “Mrs. T December 2nd, 2023,” in a gothic font.

She explained,

“I love the whole ethereal bohemian vibe—that will always be a part of me, but I didn’t want it to be the main thing,”

Her bridesmaids wore bronze dresses while the groom opted for an off-white double-breasted jacket and tan trousers.

How did Vanessa and Cole’s wedding reception go?

Vanessa revealed that the bride and groom, 27, didn’t do first look and she was nearly knocked off her feet when she saw the basketball player standing at the altar. The altar was decorated with an arch of orange marigolds and storybook fringe.

The actress reflected,

“Seeing each other at the altar for the first time is the most emotional moment of my life,”
“I literally keeled over when I saw Cole and had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor.”

For the reception, Vanessa changed into a semi-sheer reception dress. The newlyweds and the guests enjoyed a night full of food, speeches, dancing, and live music.

She told the magazine,

“It was genuinely the most magical weekend of my life,”

Hudgens and Tucker started their romance in 2020 and went Instagram-official in February 2021.
