Baz Luhrmann had his next big-screen hit in 2001 with Moulin Rouge. the film and its stars received many accolades including winning three Golden Globes and receiving eight Academy Award nominations.

In 2002, Baz Luhrmann brought La Bohème to the Broadway Stage. He also directed and co-wrote Australia in 2008 and The Great Gatsby in 2013.
