Bebe Rexha is finally responding to her trollers.
The Say My Name songstress revealed she is suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome which caused her to gain more than 30 pounds amid internet users’ backlash over her weight issues.
While appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, Rexha said,
“I went to the doctor last year — and a lot of women actually have this and they don’t know about it — but they diagnosed [me] with PCOS, which is polycystic ovary syndrome,”
Bebe told her viewers that the hormonal disorder is “one of the leading causes of why women gain weight and are obese.”
She added,
“I literally jumped, like, 30 pounds so quickly, maybe a little bit more. But we gotta just be positive and just show people love.”
A month ago, the I’m Good hitmaker slammed TikTok users for making mean comments about her weight, something which she has always struggled with.
The singer whose real name is Bleta Rexha said that she understands criticism comes as a part of being a public figure but wishes that people would stop making weight gain such a big topic.
Rexha spoke about being insecure with her image in the past
Bebe told Hudson on the show,
“I was a lot thinner and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory. I’m not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you,”
Bebe added,

This is not the first time Rexha has been so open about her weight issues. In 2021, she admitted that she was embarrassed about her body image after indulging over the holidays.
In her TikTok video, she admitted, crying,
“I weighed myself just now and I don’t feel comfortable sharing the weight ’cause I feel embarrassed,”
“I just feel disgusting, you know, like in my own body.”
The Grammy-winning artist even told her fans that she might take a social media break because she didn’t feel comfortable in her skin.
Eventually, the songstress gained her confidence back and asked her fans to normalize weight issues.
