Bethany Hamilton has given birth to her fourth child with husband Adam Dirks

Bethany Hamilton has added a new member to the family. She took to Instagram on June 30, to announce the arrival of her fourth child, a baby girl along with her husband Adam Dirks.

She shared a sweet video featuring her newborn wearing matching pink and white flower crowns.

In the video, she is holding her daughter while standing next to her husband and also shows their elder sons bonding with their baby sister.

“Meet our beautiful daughter Alaya Dorothy Dirks! We are feeling really grateful to God for the blessing of family, We are honored for this opportunity to raise our children, to love, serve, protect and guide them through life!”

Alaya is the first daughter of the family. She has three older brothers Micah, 2, Wesley, 5, and Tobias, 8.

The baby arrived three months after Hamilton announced her pregnancy news. In March, she shared a video of the family enjoying a day out surfing on the water and captioned it,

“Adam and I, and our whole fam, are so excited to be growing our family! I believe that life is a gift, and each and every life has value. 8 years in to motherhood, I’ve realized that I value my children more than I value ‘my’ time. I value my family more than I value other things like certain types of wealth or success.”

She continued,

“I believe a joy-filled family is wealth, and to know God, that is the most beautiful and precious wealth of all. We can pursue so many things in life, but what if we pursued what is right in front of us: the beautiful blessing that is family?!”

The pro athlete, 33, gave insight into how she kept fit during her pregnancy as she enjoyed a home workout. She once posted a video montage of her workout alongside her husband Adam and shared her experience.

“Feels like the countdown has begun!!! About two months to go before baby comes! Trying to move when I can cause I feel so good during and after. Plus I want to be surfing strong with my children over the long haul!”
“After baby comes I usually reallllly take it easy for the long term health of my body and so I can just enjoy and focus on baby. New born life has never felt easy for me, nursing is a lot and I will just say my newborns haven’t been “the easy going ones”, so it requires full focus and rest. I’m not complaining just sharing my journey!”

Just days before her delivery date, she shared a photo of herself showcasing her baby bump while posing in shallow water on the beach with her three sons.

She then wrote in the captioned section,

“Time [flies]! If you told me 8 years ago I’d have 4 children I’d prob [laugh]. But I’m so beyond grateful to be here with these beautiful children! This is more than I dreamed but even better than I dreamed. Grateful to God for the blessing of family!”
