The baby girl is the daughter of their eldest daughter Jennifer Gates and her husband Nayel Nassar.

Bill Gates shares a photo with his infant granddaughter

It seems Bill Gates and his ex-wife Melinda French Gates just met their granddaughter for the first time.

The Microsoft co-founder shared a photo of himself cradling the newborn on Instagram on Thursday, writing,

“I can’t wait to watch you discover the world,”

The billionaire business magnate was dressed casually in a navy blue sweatshirt and pants and happily touched his grandchild’s tiny fingers.

The baby girl is the daughter of Bill and Melinda’s eldest daughter Jennifer Gates and her equestrian husband Nayel Nassar.

While the face of the baby was not shown in the photo, she looked cute in a pink onesie as she played in her granddad’s arms.

Melinda also took to her own Instagram handle to share a snap of herself holding her darling granddaughter on the same day.

The philanthropist, 58, wrote in the caption,

“There is nothing quite like holding your first grandchild”
“It seems like just yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age,”

The mother-of-three added,

“Now she has a baby of her own—and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents.”

The businesswoman also looked causal and cozy in an orange sweater and black pants as she smiled at the camera holding the baby close to her chest.

Jennifer Gates announced her baby news in March

It is still unclear whether the exes who finalized their divorce in August 2021 after nearly 3 decades of marriage went to visit their granddaughter together.

Jennifer, 26, announced on March 4 that she and Nayel welcomed their baby girl, their first child.

The Stanford graduate shared a photo of the new parents holding their baby girl’s feet and wrote in the captions, “Sending love from our healthy little family ”

Also, on Thursday, the new mother posted a photo of herself laughing as she looked down at her baby girl. The only caption gave the photo was a pink flower emoji and a sparkle emoji.

Jen and Nassar said I DO at her $16 million Westchester horse farm in New York in October 2021.

The lavish wedding which cost $2 million was the first time that Bill and Melinda appeared together publicly since their separation earlier that year.

The former couple also shares a son, Rory, 23, and a daughter, Phoebe, 20.
