Happy married life! Blair Underwood and Josie Hart took a milestone step in their relationship.

The 58-year-old actor confirmed to PEOPLE that he married his fiancee Josie on Saturday, June 24, in an intimate destination wedding in front of just 100 guests.

The wedding ceremony took place at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in the Dominican Republic. Blair gushed about his wedding to the outlet,

“I’ve been very involved, I’m a Virgo and a bit of a perfectionist so I like to make sure details are taken care of.”

The wedding was planned by Theresa Calcos of Casa de Campo who associated with Angelica and Adriana Noriega of Caribbean Celebrations.

Similarly, they opted for all-white to decorate the ambiance and decor of the celebration including outfits. Kim Fields, who attended the ceremony, appreciated the wedding venue,

“It was a beautiful, soul-touching celebration of kindred spirits, love and family, as incredible as Josie and as phenomenal as Blair,”

They both exchanged handwritten vows under “an arch adorned with roses,” according to the outlet.

The bride of the day opted for a bespoke transitional two-in-one gown designed by Nneka C. Alexander of Brides by Nona Couture Atelier as her wedding dress.

The gown featured a fitted trumpet silhouette and a detachable overskirt with a cathedral-length train.

Underwood reflected on the moment when he saw Hart for the first time in her wedding gown. He praised,

“The first time I saw her in the dress, she looked like a princess. She was so beautiful. The deep emotions that were displayed during the ceremony, the lightness and fun of the reception, it all felt humbling because it all just fell into place. It was amazing.”

The groom, on the other hand, sported a matching white ISAIA ivory wool/silk jacquard patterned evening jacket that he paired with a satin lapel with a linen vest and evening trousers.

Reception Party

After the ceremony, the newlywed hosted the reception party in which they cut a five-tier, French Vanilla and butter creme frosted cake by Flor Reposteria.

Blair and Josie had their first dance to Tony Terry‘s song “With You,” performed live by the singer while DJ German Cabello of GCStar Punta Cana made a memorable night with his music.

Hart recalled her remarkable day, stating,

“It was surreal and magical, His vows, to hear him say the words he said to me for our forever was incredible. Between our children and all of them giving toasts, the fireworks right after our first dance, the entire day was just beyond my expectations.”

Besides, she is also a stepmother to three children Paris, 25, Brielle, 23, and Blake, 21, from her now-husband Underwood’s previous relationship.
