Blake Lively confirmed that she will be absent from this year’s Met Gala.

The actress attended the grand re-opening of the Tiffany & Co. Fifth Avenue in New York City where she revealed that she will not be at the fashion’s big night.

The 35-year-old It Ends with Us actress said,

“You will not,”
“But I will be watching.”

After receiving compliments on her 2022 outfit, Lively said,

“Thank you, that’s very sweet. I’ll be wearing that on my couch on Monday.”

At the Tiffany event, Lively looked stunning in a leather-brown belted midi dress with a plunging neckline. She accessorized her look with strappy coordinating heels.

Adding to her look were several pieces of chunky gold jewelry and she wore her blonde locks in voluminous curls.

Blake made her Met Gala debut in 2008 and has since been a staple at the fashion’s biggest night. She appeared alongside her husband Ryan Reynolds since 2012.

Over the years, Lively has rocked looks from A-lister designers like Versace, Chanel, Burberry, and Gucci, to name a few.

Blake’s first red carpet after welcoming her fourth child

Last year, Blake looked unbelievably regal as she attended the event alongside her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 46.

Reynolds looked dapper in a velvet tux, and Lively looked regal in a crown, opera gloves, and drop earrings paired with an Atelier Versace gown.

The theme at this year’s Met is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” honoring the late German fashion designer who passed away in 2019 at the age of 85.

It was Lively’s first red carpet appearance last week ever since welcoming her fourth child with Ryan. The two also share daughters Betty, 3, Inez, 6, and James, 8.

The Gossip Girl alum thanked her glam team for helping her return to the red carpet at Barnard College Annual Gala in NY city the day before.

Sharing a picture of herself wearing nothing but a towel, Lively wrote,

The actress looked stunning at the event in an off-the-shoulder floral Carolina Herrera dress with a neon-pink and yellow Sergio Hudson trench. She paired her look with matching Manolo Blahnik pink heels.

Adding a picture of her full look, Lively added,

“If I keep taking photos in these clothes it will no longer be an outfit but an actual Transformer,”
