More on his career

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said,

“Apart from the unpleasant events of recent weeks, we like to remember that the story of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at BVB for more than four years was a single success story. He has done great things for Borussia Dortmund at this time, scored many important goals and is part of the team that brought the DFB Cup to Dortmund in 2017. We wish Pierre-Emerick all the best for his future at Arsenal.”

This season, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger landed Monaco striker Alexandre Lacazette and then swapped Alexis Sanches for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Now, he is not stopping and completed the transfer record of £56 million.

After the transfer Wenger said,

“Yes, it’s good news. We need people who can give us more offensive power, we are not efficient enough going forward. There is a challenge in front of him, he wants to do well in the Premier League which is welcome and it’s absolutely good news for us.”

Later, the 28-year-old Gabon international added,

“I’m really happy to be here. Of course I can join Micki in this team, so I’m really happy to be here in this great team. I think the club has such a big history and great players like Thierry Henry. He’s an example for us strikers. I’m really happy, like I said before. I’m a fast player and I score goals too, like Henry a little bit. But as I said, I have to work a lot more.”
