Britney Spears is not in touch with her sons and has not seen them for over a year after their public disagreement on her controversial behavior on social media.

In her new documentary, TMZ Investigates Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom, producer Katie Hayes claimed,

“By the end of the summer [2022], tensions got so bad that the boys weren’t even responding to her texts. And she was furious,”

Other sources also claim that the last time the troubled singer saw her boys, Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, was at the start of 2022 which was before she married Sam Asghari.

Britney’s estranged relationship with her sons skyrocketed after her youngest one publicly slammed her parenting skills in August 2022.

“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them,”

Britney hopes to heal her relationship with her sons

A while after that the Criminal singer revealed that she was devastated to hear her son speak about her like that to the press.

In a lengthy Instagram post in September 2022, Spears wrote,

“it deeply saddens me to know [Jayden’s] outcry of saying I wasn’t up to his expectations of a mother … and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly !!!!”

One source claimed in the documentary,

“Recently, there have been occasional texts between Britney and her kids, so maybe the ice is thawing a bit,”

Federline’s attorney said that there is still hope for the family to be united despite their past.

The attorney added,

“They love their mother, and they hope that the relationship will improve going forward so that everyone is comfortable, but right now, that is a dynamic that doesn’t seem to be in existence,”
