The 40-year-old pop star Britney Spears announced the exciting news on Monday morning via her respective Instagram handle.

She shared a lengthy post in which she revealed that she had taken a pregnancy test after her partner, Sam Asghari, had teased her about being “food pregnant”.

Well, that was not a food pregnancy she’s pregnant, so happy to hear. The statement reads,

” So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby.”

It will be the singer’s third child as she is already a mother of two Sean Federline, 16, and Jayden James Federline, 15 whom she shared with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Before Kevin, she was married to Jason Allen Alexander.

In her post, she referred to Sam as her ‘husband’ which sparks rumors that the pair have secretly wed. Similarly, the happy news comes months after Spears was released from conservatorship. During that time, she was not able to marry or have a child.

Sam Asghari shares a post on fatherhood

Sam also confirmed the pregnancy news and shared a post on Instagram where he spoke about fatherhood. He wrote,

“Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do.”

Asghari and Spears became engaged in September last year after dating each other for four years. As soon as Spears dropped the post, celebrities and their fans were excited and happy for them and rushed to congratulate the star.

Paris Hilton, a media personality, congratulated Spears by writing,

“Congratulations sis!! I’m so excited for you!! Love you!!!”
