Jessica Springsteen is all set to make her Olympic debut with the US equestrian jumping team.
She will be competing alongside two-time Olympic gold medalist McLain Ward.
Springsteen is one of the four athletes making up the equestrian jumping team at the Tokyo Games.

Jessica is the daughter of music icon, Bruce Springsteen. Unlike her father, she is making her strong career path as an athlete. She will be now making her first debut in the Olympics while competing alongside two-time Olympic gold medalist, McLain Ward.

The athlete shared the news through her Instagram post. Team USA also announced her presence at the Olympics alongside three other athletes.

Jessica Springsteen making her debut in Olympics

The champion equestrian is the daughter of the famous music icon, Bruce Springsteen. Unlike her father, she chose her career pathway far from the entertainment industry.

She is a famous athlete who will soon make her debut at the Olympics. Team USA announced she would be one of the four athletes making up the equestrian jumping team at the Tokyo Games.

Springsteen, who is ranked 27th in the world will be competing with her 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood stallion named Don Juan van de Donkhoeve. The athlete is competing in the Olympics for the first time making her debut this year.

Springsteen shared the news through her Instagram with the caption which reads:

“Been dreaming of this since I can remember! Endless gratitude for my team, friends and family for helping me make this a reality. We are Tokyo bound!!”

She will be competing alongside two-time Olympic gold medalist, McLain Ward. She was also an alternate at the 2012 London Games but failed in her bid to make the 2016 Olympics.

Due to the ongoing pandemic Olympics has banned overseas spectators this time. Therefore, her parents won’t be able to watch their daughter perform in person.

Last year, during an interview with PEOPLE, the athlete stated:

“They make it to the shows as often as they can. When they’re not here, they’re watching online. I love having them with me. and I think it’s important to have your family support you. It’s definitely fun to have them around. They’re the best supporters. They’re always happy no matter how I do, which is nice.”
