Following his career, he signed a contract with the Italian club Novara Calcio on August 27, 2012.

In the summer of 2013, he was signed by the Udinese Calcio in a co-ownership deal. While playing for Udinese he played his debut game against Inter Milan resulting in a loss of 0-3.

On December 7, 2013, he scored his first brace for Udinese, during the drawn game against S.S.C. Napoli. Altogether, he made 86 appearances with 10 goals throughout his Udinese season.

Ending the contract with Sampdoria, he signed a 5-year contract with Sporting with a transfer fee worth, $10.39 million-plus buyout clause and bonuses of $122.22 million.

Bruno Fernandes left Sporting CP and signed with Manchester United on January 29, 2020, and made more than 100 professional game appearances.

International Career

Bruno Fernandes was named to the national side, “Portugal national team,” on August 28, 2017, for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Faroe Islands and Hungary. However, he did not play any matches.
