Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman, with whom he has been in a relationship for seven years.

The woman, whose identity is still under wrap, was six weeks pregnant. Similarly, the pair have children together.

On Thursday night, November 30, the Dallas Police Department issued an arrest warrant for the athlete with the statement,

“Von Miller turned himself in today at the Glenn Heights Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Miller was transported to the DeSoto Regional Jail where he was booked in without incident, posted bond, and released.”

At approximately 3 p.m., he surrendered to police in the suburb of the Glenn Heights Police Department. He was only detained for a short while, though, since he was released later that day after posting bond.

He paid a $5,000 bond at the DeSoto Regional Jail in his hometown.

According to a police affidavit, the incident took place on Wednesday, November 29, when Miller allegedly put his hands on the woman’s neck twice, ripped off a chunk of her hair, and threw her onto a couch.

The victim woman was also treated for minor injuries, including bruising on her neck.

What Buffalo Bills said about Van Miller’s inappropriate behavior?

The Buffalo Bills’ director of communications, Kevin Kearns, released a statement on Thursday in response to the accusation made against Van Miller. He said,

“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller, We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”

The NFL also stated that they are “aware of the matter and have been in contact with the club”. However, they didn’t want to make further comment on the issue.

In 2022, Miller joined the Bills after winning the Super Bowl 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams.

A native of DeSoto, 34, spent the majority of his career with the Denver Broncos where he played ten seasons. He was selected to three first-team All-Pro teams during that time, and he won MVP of the Super Bowl.
