Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard are no longer going to marry each other. The two were supposed to tie the knot in Mexico in November 2023, however, things didn’t go as planned.

The Summer House star, 38, confirmed that he called off his engagement to Lindsay and that their wedding is also canceled. Radke reportedly sent out a letter to his family and friends addressing his decision to end their relationship.

A letter obtained by PEOPLE reads,

“The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I’m crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time,”
“Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I.”

He then apologized to their guests, who were supposed to attend their wedding and had already made preparations for the wedding.

“We are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves,”

Although the Bravolebrity didn’t clarify the reason behind their breakup he acknowledged there are “lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful.”

Carl added,

“I don’t take [this] lightly. We are super grateful for the love and support you have shown us and will do what I can to help with any costs associated with changing plans. I’m sorry again this has become such a mess. Thanks for your unconditional love and support during this tough time. Will be in touch with further updates.”

Lindsay celebrated a garden party-themed bridal shower last month, about a year after they announced their engagement.

The event took place at Cathedrale at Moxy East Village in New York City. Hubbard gushed about her bridal shower to PEOPLE,

“I have such an amazing group of girlfriends that were not going to let me get away without having a bridal shower, They’ve been in my life for such a long time and they’ve been on this crazy rollercoaster of a journey to find love with me right by my side through every single relationship,”

“I feel so lucky and blessed to have the girlfriends that I have and to be able to celebrate the biggest moment of my life with them before that next chapter. It’s just such a special treat to be able to do that,”

The splendid shower was planned by the TV star’s best friends, Katie Thiele and Yvonne Najor. They were joined by Amanda Batula, Danielle Olivera, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod, and Samantha Feher.

Besides, Carl also made a special appearance at the bridal shower.

The now-former couple met while filming Season 1 of “Summer House” in 2016. They didn’t blossom their friendship into a romantic relationship until 2019.

After that, they dated briefly during the fourth season and eventually broke up. However, during a prom-themed party in 2021, they reconciled and started dating again.

In August 2022, Radke popped the question to Hubbard in Southampton in a romantic setting which was captured by Bravo cameras for Summer House’s seventh season.
