On Thursday, March 14, she posted a carousel video of herself enjoying time with Todd on Instagram, with a lengthy message. The caption began,

“My TV was on mute in the middle of last year and this man came on being interviewed on the midday news about his business. I stopped in my tracks. It wasn’t just that I found him handsome. There was something about his smile and the way he carried himself, even when I couldn’t hear his voice (which is very deep and southern by the way),”

Waddell admitted that she was the first to slide into Todd’s DMS. She explained,

“I walked by the tv again after bringing Charlie a snack and something told me to remember his name. For weeks I couldn’t stop thinking about this mystery man. I told all my friends who of course told me to reach out to him somehow, and I just couldn’t make myself do it. Out of fear I suppose. I finally looked him up, and after a few too many glasses of wine slid into his dms.”

Well, the Bachelor alum is also a mom to two Charlie, 3, and Bella, 5, whom she shared with her ex-husband Evan Bass.

Todd, on the other hand, thought his pals “were playing a trick on him” because he hadn’t watched The Bachelor before.

However, he eventually decided to follow Waddell back and liked some of her videos, which dispelled Waddell’s fears about dating as a single mother. The reality TV star continued,

“I in turn like something of his before saying, ‘So are just gonna keep liking each other’s stuff?’ He told me he was old school and would love to call me sometime, I asked him out in the most awkward voice text ever that I thought would never send and then it [accidentally] did. He laughed and accepted.”

Similarly, Carly revealed she took permission from her mother before going on her first date with Todd. She added,

“I left the date telling my mom, ‘I don’t know what is going to happen in the future, but I will forever measure every other date to what that just was because it was magic,’ It continues to be magic.”
