Suhana has also worked for CHCH-TV in Hamilton, Ontario, and CJOH in Ottawa. Many people will remember her as the host of “What’s New”, the CBC’s news and current affairs program for youth.

As Suhana is massively involved in the community, her many community activities include:

The former host of Saturday Report, Suhana Meharchand is a national news anchor with CBC News Network. Furthermore, she has anchored the CBC Evening News.

Meharchand has been twice nominated for a Gemini award and has won two bronze medals at the Columbus International Film and Video Festival, and a bronze medal at the International Film and TV Festival of New York.

She has been honored with the Media Arts Award from the Association of Women of India in Canada. Also named Journalist of the Year by the South African Women for Women association.

Personal life

Suhana was formerly engaged to former Citytv political journalist and Toronto City Councillor Adam Vaughan. In an interview with the Toronto Star, she commented on their relationship, saying,

he gave too many answers but did not ask enough questions”.

They have a daughter, Mimi. Exceeding that, Suhana was married to Ron Clarkin. They had two children, Mariah and Acton. But, currently, she is believed to be single.

On April 4, 2016, Suhana became part of the news after she revealed on Twitter that she is battling breast cancer.
