Hollywood actress Charlize Theron has opened up about her son Jackson and his sexuality.
Jackson is just 7 years old now and Charlize has revealed that he is transgender.

The award-winning actress Charlize Theron spoke about her transgender son Jackson who is 7 now. Daily Mail has reported that Charlize is raising him as a girl.

Charlize told the publication:

“Yes, I thought she was a boy, too. Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said ‘I am not a boy!,”

Charlize is a modern-day mother with progressive thoughts. She does not believe in pushing her ideas onto her kids. She said:

“They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide.”
“My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be.
“And I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that.”

‘I was taught by my mom that you have to speak up; you have to be able to know that, when this life is over, you’ll have lived the truth you’re comfortable with, and that nothing negative can come from that.”

Charlize Theron is a South African actress and film producer who became a naturalized citizen of the USA in 2007. She retains her South African passport. She now resides in Los Angeles.

Charlize had a three-year relationship with Stephan Jenkins but the couple broke up in 2001 in October. Later, she met the actor from Ireland Stuart Townsend on the set of the 2002 film Trapped.
