Split alert! Chase Chrisley and Emmy Medders are no longer an engaged couple.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” star, 27, made his break-up announcement to fiancee Emmy on Tuesday, July 25, via Instagram story, writing,

“Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself. We both and [sic] agreed to part ways and move on with our lives separately. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”

Adam Ambrose, a rep for Chrisley also issued a statement exclusively to PEOPLE, writing,

“The couple has decided to go their separate ways. Chase has nothing but love and respect for Emmy and wishes her well. Unfortunately things didn’t work and they are both moving on with their lives.”

The breakup statement comes just days after eagled-eye fans noticed the pair both unfollowed each other on social media and deleted the photos of one another from their respective accounts.

Chrisley’s siblings have also unfollowed Emmy. The 28-year-old influencer, for her part, has yet to comment on their separation news.

Will this be a major breakup for Chase Chrisley and Emmy Medders?

The separation news comes just nine months after Chrisley popped the question to Emmy with a surprise proposal.

In October 2022, Chase Chrisley proposed with a 3.5-carat oval diamond ring at Nashville’s First Horizon Baseball Stadium in Tennessee.

The now-former couple had an on-and-off relationship before their engagement.

In January 2023, Medders got candid about the nature of her relationship with now-ex-fiance Chase during her appearance on the “Unlocked” podcast.

They break up for two weeks sometime in 2021 which Medders described as “felt like two months for me!”.

Similarly, the two were rumored to have split at the beginning of 2022 after they stopped sharing Instagram images.

They ultimately put an end to the rumors in the spring when they resumed sharing sweet snaps.

However, it’s unclear whether they will again reconcile this time or not.

Chase Chrisley wanted to have kids with Emmy Medders

In May, Chase Chrisley made an appearance in an episode of the “Chasin Birdies” podcast where he expressed his desire to have kids with his now ex-fiancee Emmy as soon as possible.

He said at the time,

“I want to have as many children as she wants to have. I want a big family. I mean, I come from a big family so I don’t ever want an empty house. Family is everything, I’d have a baby right now, but she wants to get married, do as [is] the traditional way, which I respect that. And it’s up to her. It’s her body.”

Emmy, on the other hand, said she has no hurry to get married anytime soon.

In the April Q&A session of her Instagram story, she gave an update on her wedding preparation confirming the pair hadn’t picked out a wedding date.

“No date yet! We are just really enjoying this engagement season right now,”
