Tiffany Haddish got emotional during her recent interview with The Washington Post while talking about her recent miscarriage and fertility struggles.

The actress and comedian revealed in the July 20 article that this is her eighth miscarriage till now. She told the outlet,

“Well, I’m going to be honest with you. This would be my eight one, I’ve got a uterus shaped like a heart. It just won’t keep anything in.”

Haddish earlier hasn’t been much open about her miscarriage as she prefers to keep her personal life private. She doesn’t like receiving consolation from others, she said,

“I don’t want people saying, ‘Are you OK? Are you all right?’ Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.”

The “Girls Trip” star then went on to acknowledge that she has been taking parenting classes since last year so that she could adopt.

She desperately wants to become a mother, but unfortunately, luck doesn’t favor her when it comes to beginning her motherhood journey.

In 2021, Tiffany Haddish planned to adopt a child but she had to pause her plan at that time due to her work schedule. She said at the time,

“I feel when you take a child [in], you really need to be able to focus on them. I want to raise it. I want to raise the child. I want to give the child my knowledge and my love. So I want to finish up a few more things, so that I can really focus,”

“It’s one thing to have a dog and a garden and take care of that. But to have another human being that needs me and that I’m responsible for. I want to be present. I want to be all the way present. I don’t want somebody else doing that work.”

Similarly, the actress said that she’s looking for adopting an older child rather than a baby.

“I’m looking at, you know, five and up — really, like, seven. I want them to be able to know how to use the restroom on their own and talk. I want them to know that I put in the work and I wanted them.”

Tiffany Haddish is okay with dating a man with children

In a 2018 interview with PEOPLE, Tiffany Haddish talked about the possibility of dating a man with children.

“If somebody comes along and he’s amazing, the kids are amazing, then maybe. But from my experience, it’s usually the kids are really amazing and then I end up liking the kid more than I like them.”

Tiffany Haddish is presently dating Reggie Watts. In June 2023, she went Instagram official with the vocal artist sharing a picture of them together which was captioned as their first date.

She wrote,

“Hey we’re dating!!! And we made money on our first date!!!!!”

Previously, she dated rapper Common for three years from 2018 to 2021. She has been married and divorced twice to the same guy. She was married to William Stewart from 2008 to 2013.
