Big Brother alum Christie Murphy tied the knot with her fiance Jamie Martin at a destination wedding in Mexico. The wedding took place at Itzik Wedding Venue in Tulum, Mexico on April 23, Saturday.

While speaking to Us Weekly the newlyweds described their wedding as “the most special day of both our lives,” adding that it was “such a blast and so connective.”

They told the forum,

“We can’t stop talking about it and looking at the photos in awe! All the months of planning and picking out every little detail just came together and it was perfect! We both just keep saying that it was literally the best night of our lives.”

The nuptials were attended by several celebrities including Big Brother season 20 housemates such as Analyse Talavera, Nick Maccarone, Holly Allen, and Tommy Bracco. Similarly, season 19 alum Elena Davies and The Real World’s Marie Roda were accompanied.

The destination wedding comes eight months after the couple got engaged in Paris. Similarly, the two previously held a small ceremony in front of a judge in order to obtain a marriage license in December 2021.

The ceremony took place in their New Jersey residence in an intimate ceremony attended by only their immediate family and their dogs, Ruffles, and Beans.

Wedding attires

For their big days, the two brides were looking stunning in a pair of gorgeous white gowns. Murphy wore a low-cut lacy wedding dress with a long veil that trailed down her back and fell almost all the way to the floor.

Similarly, her better half wore a more solid white dress with gold accents underneath her arms.

The happy couple held tightly to each other then moved happily together for their first dance at the reception to Calum Scott’s Biblical. While speaking to Us Weekly, Murphy told that their first dance was probably her ‘favorite moment.’

Christie Murphy met Jamie shortly after she returned home from her reality TV stint. On a recent episode of the “Hello Friends” podcast, Murphy revealed if she had gone on ‘The Challenge’, she wouldn’t have met her soulmate.

She disclosed that a mutual friend set them up and “she’s the one”. Murphy said of her girlfriend,

“She’s so funny, she’s so private like she’s the opposite of me. I’m like ‘a star is born!’ and she’s like, ‘OK, chill, I’m going back to work.”
