‘Marriage in Trouble?’ Chynna Phillips and Billy Baldwin had gone through a rough patch in their marriage.

The 55-year-old musician revealed a shocking truth regarding her marriage to actor Billy on her YouTuber channel, California Preachin.

In her most recent YouTube livestream, she talked about the difficulties she and her husband had faced in their marriage over the previous few years.

Phillips began,

“I’ve been with Billy for 32 years and we have an awesome marriage, but we definitely had the hardest couple years of our marriage these past couple of years. It has been a real struggle.”

The singer then said that she and Baldwin had been separated for six months, but she did not specify when.

Similarly, she admitted that after she turned to Christianity, their marriage became quite tumultuous. She said,

“I think it’s because I just took the deep dive into Jesus, and I think he didn’t quite know what to do with that because it was kind of all Jesus, all the time.”

It’s been 28 years since Chynna and Billy have been married. But lately, the couple have been struggling with their marriage.

During her YouTube livestream, Phillips discussed their apparent differences in interests.

She disclosed that Baldwin often felt disconnected from her because they did not share common interests. She describes,

“Sometimes he’s like, ‘You’re not into the things that I’m into. You’re not into politics, you’re not into wrestling, you’re not into the philanthropy things that I do,”

The “Hold On” songwriter continued,

“We did a couple of things together and that was amazing and very fulfilling, but we’ve never really found that one thing that the two of us can latch on to and do together as a team,
“So I’m praying in 2024 that we’re going to find that one thing that the two of us can do together that feels really fulfilling.”

Additionally, she concedes that she has changed from when she met the “Fair Game” star in her early 20s, noting that she is “growing” and “changing.” She said,

“I’m not the same person I was 30 years ago, and I refuse to have the same marriage that we had 30 years ago. It’s time for us to mature and grow,”

Chynna Phillips previously filed for divorce from Billy Baldwin

This is not the first time Chynna and Billy have had marital troubles. In March 2010, Phillips filed for divorce from the actor, however, she quickly withdrew the divorce papers a few days later.

The musician’s manager, Lizzie Grubman, confirmed their reconciliation at the time, stating

“They’re not getting divorced. She filed and withdrew. They are going to work out their issues.”

Similarly, another source obtained by PEOPLE claimed they had ups and downs like any other marriage.
