Kali Uchis and Don Toliver have a first child on the way
‘Pregnancy alert!’ Kali Uchis is pregnant, expecting her first child with her rapper boyfriend Don Toliver.
She dropped her new music video for her song “Tu Corazon Es Mio,” on Thursday, January 11, in which she disclosed having a baby with Don Toliver.
In the music video, the “Moonlight” singer debuts her baby bump with clips of her and Don at a doctor’s appointment and him kissing her belly.
The video also features a sonogram of their baby and footage of Uchis and Toliver as kids before cutting to a scene of the pair slow-dancing in front of stained-glass windows.

Similarly, the expectant couple shared a joint Instagram post with a preview of the video and captioned it,
” Starting our family, Don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
Kali and Don made their relationship public in 2021 during an interview with W Magazine. Toliver gushed about his romance with Uchis at the time, stating,
“We’re not crazy public or nothing like that. We just vibe,”

Following the announcement, Kali expressed her gratitude for being able to keep the pregnancy a secret until they were ready to disclose it.
She wrote on her Instagram stories,
“Thank u all for the well wishes & also thank u to the rare pure hearted people who respected my privacy & waited for me to feel Safe enough to share something as vulnerable, sacred & personal as this to the world,”
“No one deserves to be forced or harassed into disclosing a pregnancy before they are ready, especially before their pregnancy is viable. Not to employers, not to strangers, not to business partners, not to family members do you need to disclose anything.”
The pregnant mama, 29, continued,
“Your baby & your body is your own & you deserve to have whatever boundaries make YOU feel good. To all the amazing mommies out there, I’m so proud of you & I wish you all the healthiest most peaceful & stress free journey you can have, take care of yourselves. I love you all.”
Don, for his part, wrote on his Instagram story, expressing his joy over their child’s upcoming arrival.
“We ready for you, Need to hurry an pull up. We waiting on You!!!!!!!!”
The two had traveled together to Colombia to visit Uchis’ family and to film music videos for a few tunes from Toliver’s album Life of a DON. Don revealed,
“I already had it in my mind to go our there and shoot a video with her incorporated into it, to make it a real-deal situation,”
Further, the “Telepatia” singer told the Los Angeles Times during a January 11 interview that she is willing to embrace her motherhood journey. She said,
“Motherhood is definitely something I always wanted to experience, I feel ready for it. I’ve done a lot of necessary healing on myself in the last year. I got sober. I decided to clear myself spiritually, mentally… and, well, that’s when I got pregnant.”
