Therefore in the 2016 WWE draft on July 19, Axel was drafted to the Raw brand as its last draft pick. The week after on Raw, Axel was nicknamed “Mr. Unimportant” due to being the last draft pick for Raw.

He then expressed that they “spared the best for last”, before he was crushed by a returning Neville. On the October 10 scene of Raw, he comes back to activity, collaborating with Bo Dallas and losing to Sami Zayn and Neville.
