Legal separation after a decade

Oh Yes!! After the 10-year partnership with My Fair Wedding host, David Tutera and Ryan Jurica head to the courts.

Ryan told TMZ,

“After repeated attempts at marriage counseling and therapy, we have been unable to save our relationship due to David’s addiction to sex.”

Tutera has stated to PEOPLE responding to allegations culled from Jurica’s legal papers, accusing the WE TV celebrity wedding planner of sexual addiction and the hiring of prostitutes.

The couple got married back in 2003 and after being together for over a decade, they separated and divorced in 2013.

After Ryan’s statement in court, Tutera said,

“The allegations against me are baseless and untrue and I will fight vigorously to defend my reputation in the court of law as well as the court of public opinion.”

Their divorce became a bigger issue due to their unborn children. Yes, before their separation, Tutera and Jurica had gone ahead with gestational surrogacy by using eggs from an anonymous donor and sperm from both men.

The surrogate mother gave birth to twins. It was revealed that David is the biological father of the girl Cielo while Ryan is the biological father of the boy Cedric. David and Ryan split before birth and after their sad separation, David kept the girl, Cielo, and Ryan kept the boy, Cedric.

Post-divorce!

After their divorce, David wanted custody of both children, saying that he would like the twins to have a relationship with each other; and also he said that the time won’t be right until the breakup is resolved.

Yes, David is indeed willing to be a friend of his ex, Ryan again. The kids have had zero contact because of the breakup, and both the fathers accept that their children must be in a relationship together, but that has been hard due to their separation.

Talking about their babies, Ryan told TMZ,

“He’s attempted to create a relationship between the twins, but David would have none of it”.

Ryan also said that his ex-David thinks the kids need to establish a bond sooner than later and said,

“I will do all that I can to foster it.”

David hedged on TMZ Live, saying that he is open to the kids connecting one day.

He continued,

“I only wish David the best; I only want the best for him. David and I were partners for over a decade in love, life and business.”
