Sheree and Bob Whitfield’s Tumultuous Relationship

In Real Housewives of Atlanta, It is seen that it hasn’t been an easy road for Sheree Whitfield and her ex-husband Bob.

Over the years on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we have seen them argue over child support, throw bottles of water at each other during fits of anger, and eventually go to court over his refusal to pay the said child support.

When Sheree returned to the series last season, Bob came crawling back, hoping to win his way back into her heart, and it appeared as if she might be willing to take him back.

But the gang’s trip to Maui has revealed that there is still plenty of hurts present in Sheree’s heart.

The “will they or won’t they” finally come forward in Sunday’s episode which is a tear-jerker moment.

“I want you to have some remorse for what the f–k you did. That’s what I want you to have, You just came back like you were there the day before. And that hurt me, Bob. Hurt my kids.”

As usual, Bob doesn’t have much to say.

“I’ve been content with it for 10 years, You haven’t done anything in 10 years since we separated.”

Divorced From the Start

The Bob and Sheree Whitfield saga has been a storyline since the very first season of this popular franchise in 2008. When the first episode aired, the divorce proceedings surrounding their seven-year marriage were coming to an end.

Bob was a football player for the Atlanta Falcons from the year 1992 to 2003.

Money Matters

Much of the drama between the ex-couple that played out on the show was based on Bob refusing to pay child support for the couple’s two children Kairo and Kaleigh.

In recent episodes, Sheree states they had developed a friendship. By this point, she had first left and later made her comeback on the popular show and the couple had already learned to be cordial and friendly for the sake of their children.

“My oldest daughter had a birthday party at a bowling alley and we were actually around each other for the first time in a very long time and we actually had a good time hanging out and bowling, Aside from that, we’d both matured. It was bitter and there was a lot of anger and a lot of hurts. At the end of the day, I think we both realized with growth that that doesn’t matter. We need to put all of that aside and what’s important is our family and our kids.”

And she seemed similarly positive when she spoke about their relationship this year:

“You know, I’m actually loving where we are now. I wish we could have been in this space years ago. I think it would have been so beneficial for our family. And definitely for our kids seeing a positive environment with their mom and dad, But I’m loving it right now.”

Old Wounds Reopened

The show’s recent episodes have revealed that abuse was also a big contributor to the split. Sheree spoke about the physical abuse she endured with Bob, but Bob refused any such behavior on his part and passed jokes on it. Her fans were heartbroken on learning of it.
