Like his screen life, Murray’s real life also has been colorful and adventurous with many twists and turns. Bill had a long relationship with his high school sweetheart, Margaret Kelly.

He had managed to keep this relationship secret and away from the prying eyes of the media. He married Margaret Kelly on 25th January 1981 in Las Vegas.

The couple then had a 2nd marriage ceremony for their families on 25th March 1981 in Chicago. Margaret gave birth to her son Homer in 1982 and to her second son Luke in 1985.
