Since her childhood, she had a keen interest in music inspired by her father who himself happens to be a music lover. While growing up, she used to listen to her father’s records. At the age of 14, she started as a DJ.

Moving forwards, she released the other studio albums including 1990- Blacks’ Magic and 1993- Very Necessary. Last, in 1997, the group launched its fifth and final album, Brand New.

Besides being a music artist, she is also a radio personality too. In 2003, she joined KKBT 100.3 in Los Angeles. For the radio network, she co-hosted the weekly show, The BackSpin.

Apart from that, she is also a well-known face in the TV world too. She first made her TV appearance through the Salt-N-Pepa show. Later, she also made her appearance in The Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav too. In the movies, she met her debut in the movie, Stay Tuned. Also, she appeared in movies including Sandy Wexler and Kazaam.
