Parton wrote Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You but what many don’t know is that she also lent a helping hand on Tina Turner‘s debut album.

Grammy.com revealed that the Jolene hitmaker wrote There’ll Always Be Music, which was on Turner’s debut solo album, Tina Turns the Country On!

Parton has 11 siblings

Parton grew up as one of 12 kids in Pitman Center, Tennessee, in a poor family. While two of her brothers are no more, nine of her siblings are still alive.

Dolly funded Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine

In 2020, Parton donated a whopping $1 million to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, which contributed to the research and development of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine that came out the following year.

In March 2021, the singer shared a snap of herself  getting a shot of the vaccine and wrote a cheeky caption, “Dolly gets a dose of her own medicine,”

She also encouraged others to get the vaccine.

Dolly’s marriage is one of the longest-lasting in Hollywood

Parton and her husband Carl Dean Thomas tied the knot on May 30, 1966, which is more than 56 years.

Dolly owns more than 100 wigs

“Once somebody asked me, ‘How many wigs do you have?’ I said, ‘Well, I must have at least 365, because I wear one almost every day.’ “

Parton is a Guinness World Record Holder

Dolly has won countless fair share of accolades throughout her lengthy career, setting world record is one of them.

The Los Angeles Times said that Parton received three new Guinness World Record titles earlier this year: Most Studio Albums Released by a Female Country Singer, Most Top 10 Entries on Billboard’s U.S. Top Country Albums Chart (female) and Longest Span of No. 1 Hits on the U.S. Top Country Album Chart (female).

That brought her a total of 10 Guinness World Records.
