Actress Dove Cameron identifies herself as a bisexual after recently coming out last year in August 2020.

She had come out on Instagram Live and recently opened up about her sexuality and how she was afraid that she wouldn’t be accepted. But she is proud as fans take her as an inspiration.

She said,

“I was never confused about who I was. I felt like I wouldn’t be accepted and I had this strange narrative that people wouldn’t believe me. Also, I hope it helps, that’s why I came out. It felt like something that I could never talk about. I feel like the industry has changed a lot in terms of having room for people with platforms to be human and not to be picked apart.”

Cameron was nervous to come out but one day decided to drop it. Dove decided to come out as she wanted the world to know who she is. One of her lyric videos led to viewers that she was ‘queerbaiting’. Cameron had hinted at her sexuality for years but was afraid to spell it out to everyone. Dove revealed,

“It was so bizarre that I had to ask to mix in different orientations. People started asking for hints about the video and I used different combinations of emoji couples making out. When the song came out, everybody got the idea that the song was a big LGBTQ+ anthem song and I found myself in this position where everyone thought I was queerbaiting.”

Cameron went to Instagram Live to explain the things she needed to. She wanted to represent her queer side in her music. Since then her fans have been very supportive of her. Even her fans have come out to her and feel her as someone who they can talk to.
