Melissa Lingafelt uploaded a video on her Tiktok account accusing her former boyfriend Drake Bell of verbal and physical abuse.

The former couple dated and were living together more than a decade ago. However, the actor came forward to deny all the allegations from his former partner.

Drake Bell denied the allegation of Melissa Lingafelt

A decade back, the American actor was in a relationship with Melissa and the former couple lived together. After the video caught people’s attention, the actor’s rep issued a statement claiming all the allegations false.

In the statement, Bell mentioned he never verbally or physically abused Melissa. He also claimed Melissa’s Tiktok video and the allegations were false.

Furthermore, in his statement, he included they ended their relationship a decade ago. However, he accepted the fact that they called each other terrible names at the time of the split.

Moreover, he also added:

“Melissa still felt close enough to me just last year that she was comfortable reaching out to ask me to provide her with financial support during a tough time (which I did). I do not know if today’s behavior is some kind of misguided quest for more money or attention.”

The actor mentioned he will look for the legal options for the offensive and defamatory allegations against him.

What were the allegations?

Lingafelt uploaded a video on her Tiktok account in which she started saying she doesn’t care if someone believes her or not. Moving on, she also added she did not realize until now abuse is something many women go through.

Lingafelt, then, started sharing her story saying she was in a relationship with Drake when she was just 16. At the time, she was home-schooling and she moved in with him and pursued singing.

Furthermore, Lingafelt added just around a year into their relationship, he started verbally abusing her. She described:

“And when I say verbal abuse, imagine the worst type of verbal abuse you could ever imagine, and that was what I got. It then turned into physical — hitting, throwing, everything.”

To prove her statement in the video, she also shared her photos together on the red-carpet and home snaps. Melissa also showed a box of pictures of the couple in the videos. It got huge public attention and made headlines.
