Rapper Drake has his stakes down as he fails to predict that Argentina will win the FIFA championship in the Penalty. Here’s an overview of his million-dollar loss.
The rapper, 36, is said to be “cursed” in the gambling game his recent loss proves to justify the statement. The singing sensation often loses huge amounts of cash as he lost a whopping $ 1 million (£820,000) on Argentina to win the game in the regular time.
Aubrey Drake Graham had revealed among his 127 million Instagram followers that he had placed a bet on Argentina.
While he might have predicted the correct outcome, the singer lost the bet because his predictions were only valid for the new world champions to lift trophy within the 90 minutes.
Instagram reacts to Drake betting on Argentina
The One Dance singer lost his bet on the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It’s out of a technicality, or else he would have bagged a jackpot of $ 2.75 million (£ 2.26 million).
Fans were reacting to Drake’s betting curse, with one of them wanting him to cancel his bet,
“Yoo Drake please cancel your bet… you are going to ruin a historical day for no reason…”
Another comment also continued on the Drake curse adding,
“Drake bet on Argentina … I’m gonna put money on France to try and cancel the Jinx out”.
Some others were expecting Argentina’s fate to be ruined over his betting as they yelled,
“Drake bet that Argentina would win, it’s over”.

Earlier in this bet, Drake was hoping to win a $ 2.3 million payout at the UFC Champions 281. He bears a huge seven-figure bet loss. He was supporting his friend Israel Adesanya but ended up losing $1.6 million as he was knocked out by beat Alex Pereira.
Similarly, Drake has a long history of betting on UFC fights, some of them are big wins while others are failures. Drake lost a $430,000 loss after Kamaru Usman (was knocked out by Leon Edwards). Also, lost when Jose Aldo (was beaten by Merab Dvalishvili) at UFC 278 in August 2021.
