Congratulations to Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse officially announced their engagement after five years of dating.
The couple shared the exciting news with V magazine which consisted of a wedding-themed photo shoot of the two.
The magazine’s headline of their interview read, “Sprouses To Be With Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse.”
Dylan’s twin brother, Cole Sprouse, also accompanied the couple for the joint interview. The After We Collided star opened up about why the two choose to keep their relationship private and revealed when he popped the question to the former Victoria’s Secret angel.
He said,
”There’s a lot of demand from the general public for full transparency. Which is funny to me because no relationship is fully transparent,”
“This article, particularly, is timed up to the release of our engagement announcement, right? But we got engaged now, how many months ago?”
The future bride confirmed, “We got engaged in September.”
The model then revealed that while the public had already received a hint about their engagement, they still felt the urge to announce the good news in their own manner.
The actor said,
”What we wanted to do with Stephen and the V team is make something that was kind of tongue-in-cheek about the nature of private versus public,”
“We’re playing with the idea of perception.”

Palvin hinted at her engagement at the Mammoth Film Festival
The couple criticized the source who allegedly leaked the news to their fans. However, the 29-year-old model said the two announced their engagement on time.
The Hungarian model said,
“We’re playing with the idea of perception.”
“When some people leaked the information that we got engaged, our PR team was like: ‘Hey, so you guys should do maybe a post about it or talk to this magazine or talk to that magazine…’”
”That really annoyed me because I knew we were building this story up. So, I’m very happy that we ended up doing it our way.”
While Barbara didn’t reveal the identity of the person who leaked the news, it was Entertainment Tonight that first reported in March 2023 that she and Dylan were indeed engaged.
The duo fueled the rumors when the supermodel was seen wearing a ring on that finger while attending the Mammoth Film Festival.
On Thursday, Palvin shared the news with her Instagram followers by sharing a video from their shoot for the magazine. She wore a white gown and Spouse opted for a tuxedo in the frame.
