Ed Sheeran celebrated his wife Cherry Seaborn‘s birthday in a memorable way over the weekend.

The Shape of You singer celebrated his wife’s special 30 at his restaurant Bertie Blossoms in Notting Hill.

All the couple’s close friends and family members joined them for the party and the singer decorated the venue with pink balloons and a photo booth.

A source said of the party,

”Ed and Cherry are a low-key couple but he wanted to put on something special for her big day. He closed down Bertie’s and threw Cherry a bash.”

They added,

”Ed had ordered loads of pink balloons and decorated the entire place. He had a photo booth installed in the bar, too, so that Cherry could have pictures with her guests.”
”The champagne was flowing and Ed made sure that the bar was fully stocked so everyone could order whatever they wanted. It was a really special night for Cherry, and Ed looked chuffed with himself when they finally left at around midnight.’

The Sun reported that the pair wore matching black outfits to the party.

The special birthday bash comes after Ed recently announced that Cherry was diagnosed with a tumor while pregnant with their second child.

Ed revealed the inspiration behind his new album

The childhood sweethearts managed to keep the pregnancy secret. However, they later revealed that the pair were full of fear, depression, and anxiety because Cherry’s tumor couldn’t be treated until she gave birth.

Ed and Cheery also went to secondary school together. They started dating in 2015 and tied the knot four years later.

After three years of marriage, they welcomed their first child, daughter Jupiter in May 2022. They also share another daughter Lyra Antarctica, two.

Ed who keeps most of his personal life under wraps explained how his mental health deteriorated last year. At the time, he was trying to overcome his best friend Jamal Edwards‘ death and his wife’s health struggles.

Jamal, a music producer died after suffering a cardiac arrest due to cocaine and drinking alcohol in February 2022.

Ed announced the release of his sixth studio album, Subtract, in the post. He told his fans that the new album had been inspired by the personal tragedies he had faced.

He wrote,

”I had been working on Subtract for a decade, trying to sculpt the perfect acoustic album, writing and recording hundreds of songs with a clear vision of what I thought it should be.
‘Then at the start of 2022, a series of events changed my life, my mental health, and ultimately the way I viewed music and art.”
