No sooner, Efraim became a famous name in the arms dealing industry. However, instead of serving his country, he started dealing with various crime lords and corrupted diplomats. He got suspended by the U.S government for infringing the terms of their contract on 27 March 2008.

He also pleaded guilty to the count of conspiracy after five months. Likewise, Efraim was sentenced to prison for four years on 4 January 2011. Moreover, he was also convicted for possession of a firearm.

His sentence was however reduced due to his assistance in the investigation of the offense. Meanwhile talking about his former partner, David Packouz served seven months of house arrest.

As of 2021, Efraim is out of jail. He still runs his old weapons company. However, it is banned from getting a government contract till 2025.
