The program, which will be premiered on ESPN 850 WKNR will be airing from 6-10 a.m., along with Golic’s son, Mike Jr., appearing in the first hour. The show will air on  ESPN2 before permanently moving to ESPNU.

The new show is just a replacement for the old one as the host of ‘Mike & Mike’, Mike Greenberg is leaving the show for a new morning TV program on the network which will start in 2018.

‘Golic & Wingo’ official will not release until the next few months however fans of the show will be able to get a preview of the new duo this week when Wingo fills in for Greenberg.

Wingo joked,

“We’re all looking for someone to grow old with. I look forward to doing that with Golic.”

The Greenberg moving on to the new show created some tension on the program where staffers described the atmosphere to Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch as “poisonous” and said Greenberg and Golic were barely on speaking terms. Both both the host denied the news.

“Regardless of what anyone seems to want to think, Mike and I are doing just grea. I’m going to miss him. It’s just that simple. The decision for me to go do a new show was one that was made by other people. It was not made by me”

However, Things were certainly a bit tense back in May, when the two first addressed reports dating back to last year that ESPN was splitting up the long-running duo.

“The last year-and-a-half has been somewhat interesting if not eyebrow-raising, as well. “For me, it’s not my story to tell. I’m going to continue doing this exact same show. It’s for others to tell who made this decision if they want to tell it and how they want to tell it.”

The show ‘Mike & Mike’ has been air since 2000 and Marriedbiography wishes the new show to blossom as much as the old one!
