Michael Sterling still loves Eva Marcille a lot.

The reality star’s estranged husband said he is ready to fight to save their marriage after she filed for divorce last week.

The attorney released a statement, writing,

“I am not going to lose my wife. I am going to fight for her with every fiber in my being,”
“I love her and I plan to show her how much I love her and that our love is strong enough to get to the other side.”

He concluded,

The lawyer did not provide details on what specifically he will be doing to repair their broken relationship.

Eva filed for divorce from her husband on March 23 nearly after five years of marriage. But the news only came out in public this week.

While Michael is having a tough time dealing with the divorce filing, the reality star seems carefree by the news.

Marcilles shared a video on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday encouraging her followers to smile anyway.

She went on,

“That’s a fake ass smile, but it’s okay,”
“Smile anyway, right?”

Eva and Michael tied the knot in an episode of RHOA

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club alum revealed in her divorce filing that her marriage with Michael was “irretrievably broken.” She further revealed that there are “no prospects for a reconciliation.”

The reality star also requested child support and legal and primary custody of their two little children: Michael Mikey Jr., 4, and Maverick, 3.

Eva released a statement on Tuesday where she said,

“This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,”

“Our children remain our biggest priority, and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

The former America’s Next Top Model winner did not go into details of what caused their marriage to break down.

Eva and Michael got engaged on Christmas Day 2017 and said I DO a year later in October 2018.

The pair married in front of Bravo cameras with family and close friends in attendance.

The ex-model also shares a daughter, Marley, 9, with R&B singer Kevin McCall. But her last name is Sterling since Michael raised her as his own daughter.
