In 2011, he began his professional career with the Short-season A New York Penn League Mahoning Valley Scrappers, appearing in five games. Before the 2012 season, MLB.com listed Lindor as the 32nd-best prospect in baseball.

Later, he was selected to the Class A Midwest Leagues Lake Country Captains and was selected to play in the 2012 All-Star Futures Games.

Baseball American ranked him as the Indian’s top prospect prior to the 2012 season. On July 15, 2013, he was promoted to the Akron Aeros of the Class AA Eastern League.

His 2014 campaign began with Akron and was appointed on July 21, 2014, to the Columbus Clippers of the Class AA International League by the Indians.

Francisco Lindor was All-Star again in 2019 and won his second Gold Glove Award as a shortstop and arrived in the fifteenth in MVP voting. The Indians traded Lindor and Carlos Carrasco to the New York Mets on January 7, 2021.

Francisco was named National League Player of the Week on May 31, 2022. He attended Mike Piazza as the second player in Mets history to record an RBI in ten consecutive games (1999) on June 1.

International Career

Francisco Lindor represented the United States 18U team in the 2010 World Junior Baseball Championship in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Lindor who plays shortstop was named to the All-IBAF Junior Team.
