French brand Balenciaga announces Kim Kardashian as its brand ambassador
- Kim Kardashian became the brand ambassador of Balenciaga.

Kim Kardashian is officially a brand ambassador of Balenciaga
French Luxurious brand Balenciaga announced its new brand ambassador on January 22, 2024. Kim Kardashian becomes the latest star to join Balenciaga as an official brand ambassador.
The Kardashian star, 43, said of her ambassadorship with Balenciaga in an official brand statement,
“For several years now, Balenciaga’s designs have been a part of my many looks – and some of my most iconic fashion moments. This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna,”
“For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what’s right. I’m excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador.”
Kim has now joined the fellow brand ambassadors of the company including Nicole Kidman, Michelle Yeoh, Isabelle Huppert, and PP Krit Amnuaydechkorn.

The collaboration comes over a year after Kardashian “re-evaluated” her relationship with the company following the brand’s two controversial ads. She said at the time,
“As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.”
Meanwhile, fans are now upset with the star for joining the brand following the scandal. One fan wrote,
“Supporting genocide and pedophilia. #cancelkimkardashian,”
Another added,
“Kim will support anything and do anything for money. Even a brand ambassador for pedophilia,”
A third one slammed,
“Congratulations on becoming the ambassador of the pett to feel ya,”

Why did Kim previously cut ties with Balenciaga?
In 2022, Balenciaga made headlines after releasing its two controversial holiday ad campaigns.
The first featured photo included children holding steady bears’ handbags in what appeared to be BDSM bondage gear. Similarly, some shots of them were taken with wine glasses.
Another advertisement featured a page from the 2008 Supreme Court ruling in United States v. Williams, promoting child pornography.
Upon controversial ads, the reality star-turned-billionaire mogul has also spoken against the company for sexualizing the children in the ads.
She issued a statement noting that she was “shaken” by the campaign’s “disturbing images.”
“I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.”
The Skims founder continued,
“The safety of children must be held with the highest regard, and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period. I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”
