Singer Ricky Martin, 47 announced that he and his husband Jwan Yosef are expecting their fourth child via surrogacy. The singer was talking at the 23rd annual Human Rights Campaign national dinner this Saturday night.

Singer Ricky Martin was speaking at the 23rd annual Human Rights Campaign’s national dinner held on Saturday night. He received the HRC’s National Visibility Award and while accepting it, he said:

“My family’s here.”

‘Jwan, I don’t see you but my husband Jwan, I love you. ‘My beautiful twins, Valentino and Matteo – they’re also here – I love you with all my heart. You’re my strength, you inspire me every day, you motivate me to keep doing what I’m doing and you guys are amazing kids. You guys are amazing. ‘Lucia, my baby girl who is not here with us, she stayed at home with Grandma, but she’s also the light of my life.’

The singer went on the say something more about his family. He talked about the upcoming new addition to their household. The singer went on the announce their fourth baby. He said:

‘And by the way, I have to announce that we are pregnant,’

He added:

‘We are waiting.’

The gathered crowd cheered him. They gave him a thunderous applause. Ricky then added:

“Alright! I love big families.”

Ricky Martin dedicates the award to the LGBTQ+ refugees of the world

Ricky Martin dedicated his award to the LGBTQ+ refugees of the world. He said:

‘Leaving their countries because they felt threatened. They get to this country and they ask for asylum and just because of being who they are, asylum is not being granted. This award is for them.

‘I will talk to them. I will talk to the victims [and] I will make sure I lend my voice to them,’

The Puerto Rican singer ended his speech thus:

“The only thing that I’m asking for is to go out and vote. Bring your friends and everybody needs to vote. ‘Thank you so much, God bless you all.’

The gay relationship of Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef

The couple met and began dating in April 2016. Jwan is a painter and they engaged the same year in November. They married in 2017. The couple had a daughter Lucia via surrogacy in December 2018.

Earlier Martin had a platonic relationship of the on-off type with Rebecca de Alba. This went on for more than 14 years. People suspected his sexuality and in 2000, he was queried about it. He refused to talk about it.

But in 2010, he came out as gay. He said that he thought that he was bisexual since he was attracted to both men and women. But later, he realized that he has relationships only with men and hence is only gay and not bisexual. In August 2008, his two sons-Valentino and Matteo were born by surrogacy.
