Roxanne Kaiser and Antonio Mattei Marry are officially married!
‘Happy Married Life!’ Roxanne Kaiser and Antonio Mattei took a milestone step in their relationship. The couple tied the knot on Saturday, October 26, at Chateau Elan, which is located just outside of Atlanta.
Their wedding included a brief American ceremony followed by a traditional Persian wedding. Roxanne, known for her role in The Ultimatum, shared details about her Persian celebration with PEOPLE.
She expressed,
“What I love most is the rich symbolism, Each item on the Sofreh Aghd represented aspects of the couple’s new life and marriage together. For instance, our Sofreh Aghd will include rock candy, symbolizing a sweet life, and a large mirror representing light and brightness for our future. There’s also a beautiful moment where we dip our pinky fingers in honey and share it with each other, signifying sweetness for our future together.”
She emphasized the importance of Sofreh Aghd in their ceremony mentioning that both her father and sister had followed this tradition in their weddings.
Their celebration was attended by nearly 150 guests, which included notable personalities such as Kelly Chase from the first season of Love Is Blind and Mal Wright from The Ultimatum: Queer Love.
Kaiser further expressed to PEOPLE that being surrounded by friends and family is very important to her. She acknowledged that as people age and deal with busy lives, including work and children, it has become harder to bring everyone together.
This is why she cherishes their wedding because it gives everyone a special chance to come together and reconnect over an entire weekend.
Kaiser also mentioned that she does not see weddings as fairy tales or dreams. Instead, she sees them as occasions for loved ones to come together and celebrate the commitment of marriage. She stated,
“It’s a time to share in the joy of our marriage.”
Wedding attires
For her wedding day, Kaiser chose the “Alix” gown by Blanche Bridal from The White Magnolia. The beautiful ball gown features a scooped neckline, cut-outs on the sides of the bodice, and a gentle V-shape at the back.
Kaiser expressed her vision for the dress, saying,
“I aimed for a moody, edgy Madonna-inspired look, I never imagined I would choose a dress with such a long train or go for a strapless style. I loved the simplicity of the dress combined with its intricate details and beauty. I also knew I wanted to elevate the look with platforms and an incredible choker. Honestly, the custom-made choker vision came first and the dress perfectly aligned with my vision.”
The groom, Antonio, looked stylish in a black printed suit complemented by matching pants, tie, and shoes, along with a crisp white shirt. He accessorized his outfit with silver bracelets and a neck chain.
Wedding After-party
Chateau Elan and YES Events organized a post-wedding vineyard dinner for the newly wedded couple. The menu was designed by Executive Chef Frederic and Banquet Chef James Mundy.
For dessert, Pastry Chef Joebeth Marin created a Raspberry Rose. Kaiser described the event as “an intimate gathering set among the vines under the stars as the sun sets.”
The theme focused on a sophisticated neutral palette with soft whites, creams, lush greenery, and light wood tones, creating a modern and fresh aesthetic that complements the outdoor setting.
Additionally, the couple plans to host a “post-wedding hangout” the day after their wedding, as Kaiser playfully noted,
“Who doesn’t love discussing all the wedding tea?”
How long have Roxanne Kaiser and Antonio Mattei Marry been together?
In 2013, Roxanne and Antonio met at a party hosted by Kaiser for a mutual friend. However, their interaction was limited at that time, as Mattei was in a relationship. Reflecting on that initial meeting, Kaiser recalled,
“No social media follows, no conversations—just a single encounter that seemed to leave a lasting impression.”
In 2020, both found themselves single. Kaiser then reminisces about Mattei and jokingly asks a mutual friend about him. After some investigation, they exchanged contact information and quickly arranged a group date.
Their first date went well, but both recognized they were not ready for a serious commitment. They experienced an on-again, off-again relationship for what felt like an eternity until they decided to explore engagement while filming The Ultimatum.
During season 2 of the show, despite having differing views on marriage, Mattei proposed to Kaiser. She described the experience of sharing such a personal moment publicly as challenging.
“While it might seem effortless… putting such a personal moment on display for the world to see, judge, and critique is no small feat.”
Furthermore, Kaiser emphasized that their time on the show was crucial for their relationship development. She described it as “intense therapy for months,” where they had to confront their desires and commitments openly.
She continued,
” It held us accountable for the changes we committed to making. In a way, it felt like we were making public vows — ones that millions of people watched — and we had to follow through with those promises to each other.”
